Small Business Week 2007 - Retaining and Motivating Employees in Small Business

- Well known Canadian management consultant and strategist Roy Prevost will offer his unique insights and techniques to small business owners in Cumberland County next week as part of Small Business Week in Nova Scotia.

The Cumberland Regional Economic Development Association (CREDA) and the Parrsboro and District Board of Trade are partnering to bring Prevost back to the area to conduct one of his customized three hour workshops. Prevost will present his workshop on “Retaining and Motivating Employees in Small Business” on Tuesday, October 16 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Fundy Geological Museum in Parrsboro.

Prevost has more than 25 years experience in all facets of marketing, wholesale, retail and manufacturing in the giftware industry. He is considered an expert on future trends and his research and analysis offers accurate predictions for companies to follow. He has presented more than 100 workshops on Big Box Retail, including one here in Amherst, and has guest lectured at Simon Fraser University on the future consumer.

Business owners, managers and key employees are encouraged to attend the workshop which is free of charge. However interested participants are asked to pre-register by contacting CREDA at 667-3638.
