Our
Mission
Cumberland County Museum and Archives collects, preserves, interprets
and promotes the material and documentary past of Cumberland
County for the education and enjoyment of present and future
generations.
Cumberland
County Museum and Archives was established by The Amherst Township
Historical Society in 1981. The Society continues to govern
the Museum and Archives, to collect, preserve, interpret and
promote Cumberland County's past.
The Society was incorporated as a registered charitable organization
in 1973 and operates the Museum with the assistance of the Nova
Scotia Department of Tourism and Culture.
You can become a member for just $15.00 per year. Your Membership
benefits include:

subscription to the "Cumberland Reflector" newsletter
published three times a year.

admission to the Museum.

invitation to all exhibit openings.
- Personal
contact (if you are not long distance)
informing you of museum events, programs, speakers, field
trips and workshops.
We
are a charitable organization and can provide tax receipts
for donations, upon request.
