Administrative history: The Cobequid Angling Club was a male-only club, comprised of many local Business men, established at Amherst, Nova Scotia in 1906. the club held their meetings at the Marchlands Club, which included a club house, wharf and boats. The organization began as the 'Thirteen Club', formed in 1900 by 13 young Amherst men. They established a club house at Tidnish, Cumberland County, N.S. for Weekend outings During the summer months. they traveled by horse and buggy or bicycle to the camp. Several Years later the group decided to establish themselves in Amherst and have Year Round Activities. it was then that the name 'Marshlands Club' was Created. The club was private and not open to women. The organization Celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 1956. Its date of Dissolution is unknown.

Custodial history: Records were donated by Margaret Biden in 1986 with the records of Harry Biden

Scope and content: Fonds consists of one minute book, which also contains financial reports and a list of 1914 stock holders
