Biographical
sketch: James Whidden and his wife Armenia lived in Cumberland
County, Nova Scotia. He was a captain and died of yellow fever
while at sea. Following his death, Armenia rented out property
in order to remain financially independent

and content: Fonds consists of one account book of goods received
and sold, used by James Whidden. The same book that was used
by Armenia Whidden to transcribe letters sent to her by James,
as well as to record rent received
