Maple Sugar Woods

A field trip was held for grade 8 students at Oxford Regional High School on April 3, 2003 .  Students traveled by bus to Fenwick , Nova Scotia where they first toured Ripley’s sugar woods and witnessed the operation of a water wheel in the production of maple syrup. From Ripley’s students then traveled to Donkin’s sugar woods where they enjoyed a delicious meal of pancakes and sausage and were given the opportunity to sample a variety of maple products including maple taffy on the snow.
