The
Amherst Mural Project

The Amherst Mural Project is well on it's way to accomplishing its goals of beautification as well as building a sense of pride in the history and culture of our community.

The inspiration for the mural project came from a small town in British Columbia named Chemainus, which has a similar, very successful mural project dating back to the late seventies.

The Amherst Mural Committee has regular meetings to discuss the direction of the Amherst Mural Project.  Special thanks go out to all of the mural committee volunteers.

Special mention goes out to Pittsburgh Paints and Harrison's Building Supplies for supplying the special UV protected paint that is used in the murals.  Each mural artist has the paint mixed to give it a "unique colouring".
